Audition:  12:00 sharp Sunday  20th May London

We are auditioning for  a high profile sports tournament. This is a fast paced game which will be televised life around the world on the usual sports TV channels. Looking for 12 dancers in total

Brief: Boys and Girls who can trick or body bop or do something interesting that will amaze crowds……..NOT the splits!!! This is a hard crowd to please so confident dancers only please.  The crowd will heckle you so no drama queens. This is a tuff crowd and you will need to work it to get them on side.

It would be perfect if we could get groups of x 3 dancers who have small sections of fun interesting trick choreo all ready worked out. So small crews or dancers that perform together a lot would be perfect. If not we will split you into groups

International Game Format: Dancers will be in groups of 3. When a player scores, music is played, cannons go off, flags are waved and dancers get on to the podium to perform the 1 signature move to that score followed by a trick or impressive move.You are never on the podium for more than about 15 -25 seconds of  each score celebration.

Domestic Game Format: Dancers will be in groups of 3. You will arrive at your podium dancing as a city gent in bowler hat and umbrella . You will do a synchronised dance before stripping off to revel a branded tracksuit underneath and breaking out in to tricks, popping locking routine. As the game plays you will then follow the above format for when a team scores.

We are not looking for BBoy types who can not follow choreo. We are not looking for dancers who cant do any form of trick, or interesting things that wow the crowds. You must be confident freestyling to random tracks of music. No drama queens who flap under pressure!

Fee: TBC but usual good commercial rates will apply. All travel / hotels / PD’s covered

This weekend saw JK Dance manage and choreograph a stunning series of Pop Up Fashion Shows throughout the UK in some of the country’s top shopping centres.

A cross between a fashion show and a flash-mob, the novel “fash-mobs” saw our dancers appearing from nowhere, for a brief, but eye-popping performance – dressed in the latest trends from a variety of retailers such as Coast, Mango and Karen Millen.

At the Trafford Centre our dancers brought the mall to a stand still with huge crowds watching their fab moves and cutting edge fashions and similar scenes were seen in the Derby and Brighton shopping centres. Feedback from the stores has been great with visitors to the malls loving seeing the fashions up close. 

Venues include The Trafford Center, Manchester where 10 dancers will perform 30 shows over 2 days in a first for the centre as the shows will take place throughout the centre and not just in the event spaces. The Trafford Centre are very excited at this new format and are looking forward to seeing their stores traffic and sales taking off – choreography is by Arthur Gourounlian assisted by James Robinson.

Similar shows will take place at the Brighton Churchill Square Mall with choreography by Adrian Gas.

 JK Dance will also be at the Westfield Merry Hill Centre, Birmingham with 8 dancers bringing fabulous fashions to the masses throughout the mall – choreography by Arthur Gourounlian assisted by Cerion Connelly. 

These shows take place over the weekend of 17th/18th March and are part of an exciting time for JK Dance as we fast become the first choice for leading shopping centres.

Want to know how to get a puppet to dance in a car window?

We were approached towards the end of 2011 to develop  a routine for the new WeBuyAnyCar.com TV commercial that would appear to show a teddy bear and bird  dancing in a car.

After a series of meetings between director Frank Borin and Julie Kavanagh to run through the concept of the spot it was decided that our hip hop choreographer Adrian Gas would be a great choice to choreograph the routine.

The spot is featured on their new online TV channel www.webuyanycar.tv

Here in the making of video you can see how  Adrian choreographed and performed in oversized puppet suits against a  green screen which were then edited to look like they were throwing some crazy shapes in cars.
