Want to know how to get a puppet to dance in a car window?

We were approached towards the end of 2011 to develop a routine for the new WeBuyAnyCar.com TV commercial that would appear to show a teddy bear and bird dancing in a car.

After a series of meetings between director Frank Borin and Julie Kavanagh to run through the concept of the spot it was decided that our hip hop choreographer Adrian Gas would be a great choice to choreograph the routine.

The spot is featured on their new online TV channel www.webuyanycar.tv

Here in the making of video you can see how Adrian choreographed and performed in oversized puppet suits against a green screen which were then edited to look like they were throwing some crazy shapes in cars.

Our in house Choreographer Adrian Gas shot the new webuyanycar.com TV commercial due to be released on Boxing Day.

II Divo The Royal Variety Show Manchester

The red carpet was rolled out for a galaxy of stars as the Royal Variety Performance took place in Salford for the first time on 5th December

The star-studded spectacular saw live performances from US pop stars Nicole Scherzinger and Cee-Lo Green, music legends Barry Manilow and Tony Bennett

Our singer / dancers Emma Saville and Alessia Burchkard were lucky enough to perform backing vocals with II Divo at the Royal Varity Performance 2011.

Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project
London was turned into Jamaica for one night only at Alexandra Palace, at the same time that a Jamaican venue was hosting a London themed club night complete with black cabs, kebabs and events that celebrate old English pub traditions and the quintessential British summer festival vibe. These club nights are part of a series of world wide events, with other parties in the series including swaps between Sydney, Sao Paulo, Berlin and Cape Town, South Africa.

JK Dance Productions have been lucky enough to supply dancers to a number of these awesome events over the past 12 months to entertain the crowds and get the themed party going. Jamaican night saw Ms Dynamite and Basement Jaxx taking to the stage to entertain the crowds. Other talented acts appearing on the night were The Jolly Boys, Rob da Bank, Toddla T, Reggae Roast and Wall of Sound, were presenting an exciting mix of live music and DJ sets for Ally Pally clubbers.

Debenhams Party Wear Christmas 2011

Choreographer Adrian Gas and dancers Susan Shaw, Sam Jackson, Danielle Everall and Lauren Gore filmed the recent Debenhams Party Wear Fashion spot for Christmas 2011.

The brief was to create one seamless choreographed piece to music that changed pace, style and rhythms that reflected the several outfit changes on screen.

Adrian’s clever use of choreography ensures that the outfit changes were kept interesting and reflective of the type of outfits being showcased whilst the dancers traveled across the screen.

On a cold northern wet day back in 2010 Arthur Gourounlian took himself off to a secret location to work as the movement choreographer on a new BBC film.

The Lost Christmas stars BAFTA, Olivier and two-time Emmy award-winner Eddie Izzard as Anthony, a mysterious man who appears on Manchester’s snowy streets at Christmas Eve with a remarkable gift: the ability to find the lost. The Lost Christmas is set in Manchester as snow falls and everyone is getting ready for Christmas.Everyone, that is, except Anthony (Eddie Izzard), a strange, enigmatic being who wakes up in the middle of the street, not knowing where he is or what he’s here to do. But Anthony has a remarkable ability: the power to find the lost.

Over the course of one magical Christmas Eve, Anthony transforms the lives of five ordinary people, people whose lives have been shattered by decisions of their past, decisions they have come to regret.
